At the H&M Fitting Room

Tried on a few outfits.  The first, an animal print dress made me look extremely boxy.  Not a good thing.  It also made me look fat!  And I never look fat.

I also tried on the same skirt that Kelly from Alterations Needed, which looked better.  Though I was able to zip up the 2, it was very tight, so I opted for a 4.  The 4 would definitely accomodate me if I decide to eat too much!  The skirt is definitely a MUST WEAR for Toronto's LG Fashion Week, which I will be attending starting tomorrow (watch DelectablyChic! for pictures. There may be a Petites at Fashion Week post here, too...it just depends on whether I can find enough petites to get pics of!)

I will also have a better picture of me in the skirt later this week...

Casually Banana Republic

Finally, a picture of the shirred top (size XSP on me) that was posted over at Alterations Needed a while back. Sorry for taking so long! Anyway, I've paired it with Banana Republic's trouser jeans (size 24P - these pants are slightly longer than most of Banana's petite denim - it's definitely meant to be worn with heels) in this picture.

Here, I've added a cardigan over the top (size XSP again)

From Alterations Needed: Industry Standard Model Looking Ridiculous

I thought I'd like to draw your attention to THIS POST from Alterations Needed. Basically, what she is saying is that the model looks like an idiot because the pants are too short (they aren't supposed to be cropped/ankle pants - they're a PETITE LENGTH!) It's really a WTF situation here, don't you think?

By the way, I sent Gilt Groupe and email about this. Will let you know what they tell me (if they tell me anything).

Small sizes and sales

Alterations Needed has an interesting post on small sizes and sales - usually the very smallest can never find anything more than 30% off. This is true, at least in my neck of the woods. I could never understand what people are talking about when they say that they see tons of sizes 00 to 2 on sale racks. This certainly isn't the case in Toronto (or in New York, for that matter). The most sizes I see generally range between 4 and 10.

Is this the case with your area? Or can you find really small sizes fairly easily, even on sale?
