Golden Globe Winners

There were no true petite Golden Globe winners. Tina Fey, at 5'4 1/2", was the closest to petite any best actress winner could get! This wasn't a good year for petites, was it? And I don't think the Oscars will be any different. We'll find out next week, however.

What do you think?

Golden Globes TONIGHT - which petite actress will win?

Petite nominees this year are:

PeneloBEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE IN A MOTION PICTURE

Penelope Cruz (5'2") - Vicky Cristina Barcelona
Amy Adams (5'4") - Doubt

Sally Field (5'2") - Brothers and Sisters

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES –COMEDY OR MUSICAL

America Ferrera (5'1") - Ugly Betty

Tina Fey (5'4") - 30 Rock (ok, so IMDB lists Tina as 5'4 1/2", but I'll let that pass)

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A MINI-SERIES OR MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION

Will any win? Not many petite nods this year. Stay tuned!

Sadly, none of the lead actress nominees for comedy/musical OR drama are petite. There aren't any petite actresses nominated for supporting TV roles either.

This is NOT a good year for petite actresses when it comes to Golden Globe nominations.

Golden Globes

The Golden Globe nominees have been announced, and let's just say that while there are petite nominees this year, the number has siginficantly dwindled. I will list the full list of petite acting nominees tomorrow.
