You've heard them:
"Petites shouldn't wear capris."
"Skirts and dresses should be no longer than right below the knee."
"Petites shouldn't wear big belts"
"Petites should only wear straight jeans."
etc, etc...
Do you listen to these rules at all, or, do you think many stylists (especially those who are not petite themselves) just don't understand the petite physique (or I should say, physiques, since the typical fashion magazine assumes that all petite women are not only under 5'4", but also smaller than a size 6.)? Do you think it should be necessary for stylists to understand all figures? Because I don't think they understand that "petite" women can be just as boy-shaped, just as curvy, as pear-shaped, etc...as average people.
