Designer Wayne Lee in Vogue

As a designer, 5'1" Wayne Lee (girl in white) works with models almost a foot taller than her. She was featured in the April 2008 issue of US Vogue (the one with the controversial cover of Giselle and Lebron James) as the "short" shape. As a petite girl, she realizes that she gets "swallowed up" in clothes very easily and likes to wear her short pieces VERY SHORT. She doesn't like loose, boxy tops (not good things for petite women anyway). What else does she like?
According to the article:
  • Slim bottoms like A.P.C. jeans (though they will require hemming)
  • Flats like Converse sneakers or strappy Sigerson Morrison sandals (Wayne is a size 5/35 and Sigerson Morrison makes them in that size)

To read more about her and about women of all shapes and sizes, check out pages 255-262 in the April 2008 of US Vogue. By the way, Torontonians (and perhaps other Canucks) may know of the featured tall girl, 5'10 1/2" Alexandra Weston.

(As a petite woman, Wayne should consider doing a petite line of her clothes too)

By the way: This is the 200th post on the Shorty Stories blog!!!
