We are seeing more and more publicity about petites and also about pluses, but what about the petite-plus? If the average woman in North America is 5'4" and a size 14, then she is a borderline petite-plus. But does the media acknowledge that? They seem to spend more time emphasizing her dress size (14) than height. Also, most women who are that size do not realize they are petite or do not consider themselves so (very bad for the petite market, IMHO.) As a result, little has been written about the petite plus. Few stores carry petite plus. Talbots and some Addition-Elle stores are the only places I can think of who carry this category. Online, you have to look very hard to find info on petite-plus.
