A Vintage Winter

I'd like to think I can be of some inspiration to my readers. Especially when it comes to shopping. How about a bit of two tone leather?

Oh and isn't this vintage Fendi bag just darling - unfortunately it's reserved otherwise I would have snapped it up myself!

Layered up...

Here's me in full on vintage yesterday. I braved the cold with bare legs - It was actually quite warm in the sun and luckily I do have some natural protection! I went on a little cake mission with two of my girlies. I was very tempted by the miniature pink fairy cakes but not wanting to appear greedy by having two I opted for a huge piece of lemon drizzle. Yum! One of my secrets to staying cheerful in these long winter months is that cake should be a regular occurrence and  actually while I'm thinking about it tea from a proper tea pot is essential. As are candles, log fires, fluffy kittens and plenty of cute knitted accessories.

Today I have been trying on some yummy Charles Anastase Spring Summer 2011 for Elle Magazine. Just one perk of the job as an international furry fashionista. Unfortunately you'll just have to wait until the magazine comes out for to see how cute I looked. I'll let you know when it comes out...

I'm in a contemplative mood today...

I'm loving all your competition entries, keep em coming. Just think 'fabulous' and you never know you might just see me personally modeling your design!

Stockings and Slouch

Went to visit some friends at the weekend in Paris. We visited some fabulous antique markets and I came home with rather more than I intended - A 10 foot painting of the Matterhorn and a collection of antique pickled onion forks, I don't even eat pickled onions! They were just so pretty, I couldn't resist.

I received the proofs of my book cover last week, it was so exciting to see myself in official print and I was pleasantly surprised that the title is foiled. Don't you just love that font? It's just a little bit "Elvis the Vegas years" ...and here's the back. Please do excuse the quality of the shots, I just did them quickly on my iphone. (By the way, if you're as excited as moi, you can pre-order my new book here)

Don't forget to enter MY COMPETITION! - You never know I could be wearing your design on these pages. Don't forget to pass it on if you know an amazing creative who you think deserves some exposure.

...and for any budding photographers out there have you seen Vogue's amazing photo comp? I'd be tempted to enter myself if I had more time. Being a furry fashionista keeps me to busy for anything else!

Festivities

I popped over to Glastonbury last weekend - got a lift in a friends helicopter, it's so useful having connections you know. Just seeing the queues from the air was enough to make me feel faint. I don't mind a bit of roughing it - so we stayed in a gypsy caravan! It was so quaint. Sadly I failed in my attempt to hire a horse to complete the look and move my new home wherever I wished - just imagine sitting atop the steps watching Florence and The Machine rock the Other stage!

On the friday night I wore this Vintage harem pantsuit, it was so nice not to have to think about waterproofs, the weather was out of this country - literally!

So two words to sum up the best of the festival
- Stevie Wonder....
Amazing!

Sunshiney Giveway!

Sonny and I went to the seaside today so I thought I should wear something appropriately sea themed. It was a lovely sunshiney day - for once! and we enjoyed the carousel and the ice cream. YUM

By the way I spoke to Ruby and she still hasn't decided what puppy to get - she is so indecisive it drives me up the wall!! I'll keep you posted on that.

Heads up - I've contributed a lovely prize over at The Bright Side Project. I thought it was a worthy cause as I'm all about looking on the sunny side of life. The prize is any print of your choice from my shop and a set of my best selling postcards. To win you have to tell me your fave outfit and explain why you love it so. I'm loving reading everyone's answers. you can enter here.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Happy Friday

Yesterday was serious puppy heaven. I was quite tempted but then Stella gave me a wounded look as if to say I would be in big trouble if I bought home one of the yapping squirts that were hanging off her ears.

Ruby's still making her mind up but I'm gunning for the Boston terrier

(have now given up trying to get spotted!)

Heinz 57

Today Ruby and I are puppy shopping. We have a number of appointments with various breeders. She wants a pure breed as apposed to moi and my Heinz 57 mutt Stella! It's funny because that is so the opposite of what you would expect from both of us...

...still hoping to get spotted!

lush-ness

What a lovely break I've had, I hope you guys did too. I just had a really girly weekend with Ruby eating far to many chocolate eggs and generally hanging out. I just love being able to do absolutely nothing without a guilty conscience! This was us (above) on Sunday, we're both wearing vintage from Ruby's wardrobe. I stayed over at hers saturday night so raided her wardrobe the next morning - I love being a girl! we're both wearing the lovely necklushes that I recently discovered. I just love how they go with everything and you can chuck them on with a tee and look instantly cool!

check out their etsy shop here... lots of lovely designs but this is the one I have and it's definitely my fave!
