Can't people just accept that? Over on Twitter, I am having a debate w/ someone about clothing sizes. There was a tweet about Marc Jacobs not making larger sizes because people don't want to buy them (apparently they want to make plus sizes). I said that it might be because Marc Jacobs clothing just isn't made to look good on most people who are of a larger size. The reply I got was more or less a WTF (actually, he said "Fashion is a celebration of yourself, no matter what size you are." and referred to body image activist Ben Barry and owner of an "all sizes" modelling agency (well, sort of all sizes, since he doesn't really have petites on his roster - nor does he really mention them). I replied saying that as a petite woman, I don't wear calf-length skirts because they don't look good on me. Makes sense, right? There's a reason why most petite lines don't make skirts meant to be mid-calf. Anyway, this is a guy who seems to think that everyone can pull of everything if it's the right size. Nuh-uh. Not true.
On the 13th of Christmas....
I wore Marc Jacobs!I visited the Marc Jacobs store yesterday and I just fell in love with this festive outfit, it matches perfectly with my new Christmas decs. I spent all of yesterday decorating and now the house looks like a yuletide bomb has exploded inside. There is sparkle and glitz everywhere you look and I keep banging my head on the giant ball of mistletoe hanging in the hallway!
I got some lush new baubles from Liberty that represent 3 of my 4 favorite cities - which obviously just happen to be the fashion capitals of the world. I am just missing Milan so I am in the process of composing a letter to the nice people at Bombki to request they make up a new set of their sweet city decorations featuring maybe the Duomo and a swish red Ferrari. Paws crossed that next year my tree will be complete...
I also just had to try on some slightly more summery choices because I am still pursuing my winter getaway and I intend to search out that illusive sun. Now which to choose - or maybe all three? so many outfits so little time.

hey guys, sorry I've gone a bit quiet recently, last week I came down with a bad case of the sniffles and of course my parents got all wacky and insisted I have everything fully checked out because of our history of mixamatosis (check my profile if you don't believe me) sitting in my £1500 a night suite at daddys favourite private hospital (yes I said favourite - he is such a hypocondriach that he's checked them all out!) feeling glum, bored of reading back issues of vogue and playing with my new iphone what should arrive but two surprise parcels! yes! can you believe it, two! and what was inside you ask? well two perfect creations of moi!!!
The first parcel was from Cuore and wow what a cutie I am, and check out that perfect dress!!!! isnt she so talented?
i am soooo gorgeous!
and the inside the second was this amazing likeness from sweet mango leaf, complete with two boxed outfits from Matthew Williamson and Marc Jacobs! aren't I the lucky lady!

hmm not sure about this Marc Jacobs ensemble, what do you think?
I'm a bit snowed under with party invitations, showroom openings and generally lounging around in the tiny bit of british sun we're getting so my postings may be a bit sporadic for a while. I'll be back soon properly though, don't fear! plus I'm still working on these widgets for you all. I've worked out the code now all i need is to work out how you make it a clickable download...zzzzzzzzzzzz
