"May your troubles be less and your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door."
Irish Counted Cross Stitch Sampler-Made this in 2008 and had it custom framed at the "Frame A Lot" Yes that is the real name of the place :) Pattern is by "Blue Ribbon Designs"
Churn Dash table runner-The dark green fabric has shamrocks on it. This goes on the dining room table for St. Patty's Day.
Irish Sampler-Made this one in the late 80s/early 90s. Some of the fabrics have small shamrocks on it. Hand quilted with shamrocks in the borders, machine pieced and hand appliqued.

Claddagh Wholecloth wall hanging-I was so sick of cheese-y St. Patrick's Day decorations. Enough with the beer already. :) So I made this one in 2008. The cross hatching is 1/2" apart :) Enlarged a claddagh stencil to get the center design.

Took a class in the mid 90s at a Southern California quilt shop for this one. Great travel project. I have two other celtic applique quilts in the works.
"Bless your little Irish heart and every other Irish part."
Irish Soda Bread Recipe
3 cups of flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
2/3 sugar
1 cup raisins
1 handful of caraway seeds
3 eggs
1 tablespoon melted butter (I use slightly more)
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together.
Add raisins and caraway seeds.
Beat eggs in another bowl. Add melted butter and mix well.
Add to flour mixture and mix.
Bake in a loaf pan or oven proof bowl that has been well greased and sprinkled with flour.
Bake 300 degrees for 45 minutes or until done. (My oven takes longer.)Test with a knife to see if it comes out dry. If you rap it and it sounds hollow, it's done.
